This past spring, I found myself in a packing pickle. I had booked a week-long trip to Italy for a wedding, but my plane ticket didn’t include any checked bags. How was I supposed to pack for sightseeing, a wedding, a girly night in Rome, and long travel hours (all while looking cute) in one carryon?? I decided to try out a capsule travel wardrobe, which meant I needed shoes that went with everything. After lots of research, I found the best shoes for travel: The Dr. Scholl’s No Bad Day Slip On Sneaker.
I went with these for a few reasons. First, they are cute! I have been wanting a pair of leather-look shoes for a while, because they go with everything. On my trip, I paired them with leggings, jeans, a midi dress, and a skirt. How’s that for variety!
Second, they are so comfortable. I knew that we would be doing a lot of walking, so a shoe with good support was a must. I didn’t want to take a pair of sneakers (like my Nike Tanjun sneaker) because I didn’t want to look like TOO much of a tourist. Plus, I was hoping for a shoe that was easy to take on and off in the airport. These ticked every box!
And third, they are affordable! I asked around for shoe recommendations before I bought these, and lots of suggestions were more expensive than I was hoping for. While I’m sure they’re all great, these were more my price range. The final icing on the cake was that these are available at DSW, which meant that I could go and try them on for myself.
These were exactly what I was looking for before I left, and they delivered on my trip. These are incredibly comfortable, go with everything, and left me enough money to ship back a few bottles of Vino Nobile 😉
(And as you can see, I love wearing them around my town as well!)
