It’s no secret that I am a big fan of Kate Middleton, or rather, Catherine Duchess of Cambridge. Since her due date is rapidly approaching, I thought I would write a post focusing on her down to earth, classic fashion sense. Now, even though she is known for recycling pieces and even shopping at such attainable stores as ASOS, we don’t all have the budget of a duchess. Today I’ll show you some alternatives priced more for non-royals to help you achieve the Duchess of Cambridge’s look.
The Shoe
Kate has been spotted in these L.K. Bennet Sledge pumps almost from day one, and who can blame her? They go with everything! However, at $345.00, they’re a little out of the reach of the common woman. Although this option has a slightly higher heel than Kate’s, ShoeMint’s Cami heels in nude are a pretty close match! They’re available for $80.00 at Kohls. If you want a shorter heel, Kelly and Katie’s Isabel patent pump is even cheaper at $39.95 and is available at DSW.
The Coat
Kate really knows how to work a coat. A few of her more recent choices are great for this Spring season! I love how her coats are stunning enough to be the complete outfit, nevermind what’s underneath (even though I’m sure it’s fantastic). However, the average girl can’t run out and grab this Alexander McQueen pale pink coat with pearl buttons. This Asos coat with dropped pephem doesn’t have the pearl buttons, but the shape is to die for. Another hit from Asos is this coat with a peter pan collar in the most gorgeous baby blue (possibly for Royal Baby #2?). Finally, this bell sleeved coat from Zara is in the world’s most flattering color for every skintone.
Check back mid-week for a few more Kate Middleton dupes!
xoxo Katie
