I’ve noticed that there are two types of Christmas decorators: the colorful, kitchy, hand-made type and the “let’s make it look like a Pottery Barn catalog” type. My family has always been the former. Our tree is crammed full of popsicle stick frames, Santas riding alligators, and cornhusk figures, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! However, when it comes to the gifts under the tree, I try to be a little more coordinated. Every year, I attempt to pick out a complimentary color palette, and this year I’ve gone with red, white, and gold for my wrapping paper and accessories. Not exactly pushing the envelope here, but I’m a classic kind of gal!
I picked up all of my wrapping supplies at Target because they had everything I needed right there. I went with this red paper and this white paper, both from Sugar Paper. I love the grid guidelines on the inside of the paper- it makes it really easy to cut straight lines! Once I chose my paper, I picked out a few gift bags (like this plaid one, this penguin one, and this bottle one) that I thought complimented the paper. I chose a three-pack of red, white, and gold tissue paper, as well as some paper with metallic gold snowflakes on, which I LOVE. I also picked up some metallic stick-on bows, because I’m not good enough to make my own. For tags, I went with a multi-pack that included white an gold tones Finally, I grabbed some green and gold sparkly twine in the dollar spot, just for a little extra punch.
How are you wrapping your gifts this year?
P.S. I think Luna likes my wrapping job! She’ll have to wait until Christmas to open her gift though 😉

Thanks Patricia!
Good picks! Well, I’ve never encountered any gift wrappers, which have cutting lines on reverse here in Manila! Brilliant!

Thanks!! I don’t know how I ever cut straight lines without them!
Ooo I love the red, white and gold theme – I still need to make a start on my wrapping!
