Buzzing about the cariPRO Toothbrush from Smile Brilliant

I am notoriously slow to jump on the bandwagon of things people love. I was one of the last of my friends to get a smart phone, I just now started watching The Office, and avocado toast hasn’t been one of my go-to meals until this year. When I inevitably love these new things and talk to my friends about how great they are, they’re always like “Um yeah, duh.” Electric toothbrushes are one of those things.

That’s why I was so excited to get the chance to try Smile Brilliant‘s latest launch- the cariPRO ultrasonic electric toothbrush. After working with them on their whitening kit, I was really curious to see some other oral care products they’ve been working on.  I’ve never had an electric toothbrush before, but my dentist has been telling me to get one for YEARS. I always thought “people have been brushing their teeth manually for centuries, I don’t need an electric toothbrush.” They’ve been expensive, and the idea of having to charge it all the time really put me off. But now that I have my own, I can’t imagine going back!

The package I was sent to review included:

-the cariPRO ultrasonic toothbrush

two replaceable heads

-the charging dock

The cariPRO toothbrush is a neutral gray color with a subtle non-slip texture waterproof handle. The brush vibrates at 40,000x/minute and gets your mouth feeling incredibly clean, removing 7x more plaque than a manual toothbrush!  It has a replaceable head that has five brush modes: clean, white, massage, gum care, and sensitive.

The clean and sensitive modes are fairly similar, but the sensitive mode vibrates a little more gently. That is the setting I have been using 2x/day. The other settings vibrate a little differently, each one with the intention of either whitening your teeth or benefiting your gum health. A really important part of oral health is taking care of your gums, and these brushing options on the cariPRO allow me to clean more than my teeth. Plus, there’s a tongue scraper, too. Seriously, this is more like a whole mouth brush.

One of the things I love about this toothbrush is how long the charge lasts. I juiced it up once right when I got it (a little less than a month ago) and I haven’t had to recharge it yet! The battery is supposed to last 30 days, so I know I’ll have to soon, but I’ll definitely take a 30 day battery streak. The charger is really convenient, too. It’s a small gray disc that you stand the brush up on. There’s no exposed metal, so you don’t have to worry about keeping it in your bathroom!

Another thing I love is the automatic timer. Dentists recommend you brush your teeth for two minutes twice a day, but I never actually do that. I remember seeing kids’ toothbrushes in the store that would play a little song for two minutes, and I thought that was brilliant. The cariPRO toothbrush has that feature, but in a way less annoying way. Every 30 seconds, the brush pauses the vibrations. That signals you to move on to another quadrant of your mouth. Then when you reach two minutes, the brush shuts off. That way you are reaching the two minute mark but not wasting battery. So smart.

I have a pretty big sweet tooth, and I love coffee and red wine. Those three things spell disaster for my teeth. But with the cariPRO toothbrush, I could literally feel myself banishing plaque and stains. I couldn’t help but grin in the mirror after I brushed my teeth! My teeth have never felt cleaner, and I know my dentist will notice a difference.

I know there are a lot of electric toothbrush options out there, but I also know you’ll love this one. If for some reason you don’t, you can send it back within 60 days for a full refund. But you won’t need to, because it’s great. It’s sleek, has a great battery life, hold an amazing charge, gets your whole mouth super clean, and won’t break the bank! The package that I got is usually valued at $119. Some comparable brushes can go for $200 or more!  Plus, my friends at Smile Brilliant have been super nice and shared a discount code with me. If you’re in the market for a new electric toothbrush, use code “katieactually40” to get a whopping 40% off the price. That means you’ll pay less that $75.

What do you think of the cariPRO toothbrush? Would you give it a try?
