Fall Fashion Wish List

The temperatures have dropped here in Huntsville (it’s 61 degrees as I type this ?), and even though it’s still technically summer, I’m definitely shifting into Fall mode. Autumn is for sure my favorite season- the beers get darker, the weather gets more tolerable, my birthday is just around the corner, and the fashion is awesome. I have recently realized how much of a hate/hate relationship I have with my closet, however. I am in desperate need of some new clothes! Here are a few picks I’ve rounded up that I would love to introduce to my closet, as well as some I already have.

1. I love this quilted vest from H&M. There is something so casually chic about a nice long sleeved shirt under a quilted vest. It’s the simple things in life, really…
2. BRB DYING OVER THIS FAUX SUEDE MOTO JACKET FROM THE LC LAUREN CONRAD RUNWAY COLLECTION. I stopped by Kohl’s the other day to ogle it, and guys, it really is beautiful. I mean… rose gold accents…’nuff said.
3. There are a lot of basics that I’m realizing I don’t have, like a simple tube scarf. This one from H&M is perfect!
4. I’m getting to the age now where I should be investing in nice things. I think the Hamilton North/South Tote from Michael Kors counts as a very nice thing. Is it acceptable to be literally drooling over a bag?
5. Essie Polish in Very Cranberry is a staple color for Fall. I can’t remember if I have this guy already or not…
6. Another scarf staple- the plaid scarf. This Fraction scarf from Madewell is super soft and made of wool, so you know it will keep your neck warm as well. Because doesn’t everyone get a case of cold-neck every now and again?
7. A year-round staple is the crossbody bag. I picked up the Marlowe mini bag from Rebecca Minkoff (similar here) on Hautelook.com a while back and it is my baaaaby.
8. I mean, a skinny jean is almost cheating in a fashion roundup. Doesn’t everyone have a pair? Oh wait, I don’t. Time to run to Banana Republic for their Indigo skinny jean!
9. I have been on the hunt for the perfect chambray for what seems like FOREVER, and I may have found it in the Chambray button down from American Eagle.
10. Another item I’ve been hunting for up and down is the perfect brown heeled bootie. I LOVE this Lylee bootie from Sole Society, so that may find its way into my online shopping cart…
11. I can’t decide if I love or hate the leopard trend… but I think I love it. The Steve Madden Heaven Leopard Ballet Flat paired with black and cranberry tones just seems very chic all of a sudden.
12. Lauren Ralph Lauren Jaden Riding Boot. I mean, need I say more?
