Last week was my darling dog’s third birthday, and in dog years, that means she’s 21! To celebrate, a few of her dear human friends (and a furry one too) checked out one of the newest spots in Old Town, Lost Boy Cidery. On one of the hottest days of the year (it felt like it was 108 degrees!), crisp, cool cider was just the ticket. They have a great selection of really varied ciders, from a thai basil and strawberry option to one with jalepeno. Plus, the warehouse location is dog-friendly, so there is no shortage of incredibly cute pups!
Because she was turning doggie 21, I got her a six pack of dog-friendly Bowser Beer so we could share a drink together. She wasn’t super keen on it at first, but I think it was just because she was so dang hot!
Because she’s been with me three glorious years, I’m going to share three things I love about Luna:
- She loves to burrow under blankets and snuggle, which is especially nice on cold winter days of when I’m not feeling my best. Sometimes in the morning, she’ll jump up into the bed and nestle in between my body and my arm until my final alarm goes off.
- She loves all dogs and humans. If you make eye contact with her on the street, she WILL say hi.
- She rolls with the punches. She’s been with me through three moves, three different houses, a bunch of stranger roommates, and quite a few long drives back down south for holidays. She’s taken it all in stride, and adjusted more or less healthily.
I love this little dog, and just want to share how great she is with the world! We celebrated her well, as you can see.
