During the Royal Wedding earlier this year, I wanted to bake something to celebrate. I tried to make a lemon elderflower cake, like The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding cake. While the cake didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted, I had about a half bottle of elderflower liqueur I had to get rid of. I’ve never really had elderflower liqueur before, so I had not idea what to do with it. After some quick Googling, I tried a recipe and HOLY COW guys, I’ve found the perfect summer cocktail. It’s simple, delicious, and fresh- just exactly what I wanted on a hot summer day.
Directions:
-Pour one ounce of elderflower liqueur and four mint leaves into a cocktail shaker. Muddle.
– Add another ounce of elderflower liqueur 😏
-Add ice and shake.
-Pour into a glass and top with sparkling white wine.
-Enjoy!
