Although it’s been a very temperate winter here in the South so far (I mean, 70 degrees in December…), I know the cold is coming. We usually get our snow and ice in February, so to prepare, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite nourishing lip products with you!
1. Santa’s Lip Scrub– Step one to soft, nourished lips is exfoliation. I love the Santa’s Lip Scrub from Lush. It’s unique cola flavor and edible red hearts are just so endearing. I love that it’s all natural, too, so you can just lick off the mixture of castor sugar and coconut oil when you’re done scrubbing away!
2. The Jouer Lip Enhancer– I received this in the Birchbox curated by Tati (GlamLifeGuru), so I was confident that this product would be a winner. It works to minimize the appearance of fine lines and slightly plumps your lips without the usual uncomfortable stinging. I love the light rose scent and the way it glides on super easily. I use this one at night when I don’t use the TokyoMilk Lip Elixir.
3. TokyoMilk Lip Elixir– This petroleum-based balm has some of the most unexpected flavors, like Absinthe, Clove Cigarette, and this one, Smoked Salt. It’s a thick, smooth product that you really don’t need that much of. I apply it at night and wake up with silky smooth lips! I got this particular product at Style Revel, but you can find it other places like their website and Birchbox.com.
4. Blistex Five Star Lip Protection– This is my holy grail chapstick product. It protects your lips in dry air, heat, cold, wind, and sun. I love the scent and the fact that it has SPF 30. I’ve repurchased this product over and over again, and it will forever live in my purse!
5. Burt’s Bees Lip Shine– Santa slipped one of these beauts in my stocking this year, and I can’t stop wearing it! I love the shine and the sheer color, but the nourishing apricot wax and the sweet scent don’t hurt either! This color is called Pucker, and the only thing that I don’t 100% love is the fact that I have to reapply more often than some other colorless balms. That’s to be expected, though.
