New Beauty at CVS

New Beauty at CVS | Katie Actually

The other day I had to stop by CVS for some concealer and had to do a double take. There are SO many brands in CVS now I had no idea they carried! They have GlamGlow, Vichy, La Roche-Posay, and TONS of new makeup products, too. Here are my first impressions of a few things I grabbed today:

  1. Make Up Eraser cloth– I’ve heard about these makeup-removing cloths all over the internet and finally decided to try one after my eye makeup remover ran out. It claims you don’t need anything more than water to remove your makeup, and so far they’re right! It was able to take off the majority of my face of makeup, including mascara, with just water. My initial concern is that I have to rub my eyes more with this cloth than with an eye makeup remover and cotton pad, which as a woman in her 30s is a concern. But I’ve only used it once so far, so check my IG stories for a more in-depth review!
  2. Peripera Tint Water lip tint in Strawberry Juice– Hypothetically, a lip tint would be the solution to my problems- I love lip color but can’t stand reapplying things 100 times a day. I was excited to try this K Beauty brand, but I have to admit I was let down. This product 100% achieved the “popsicle lips” aesthetic (where you look like you just ate a popsicle), but it’s not for me (see below). Next.
  3. Joah Brow Down to Me Precision Eyebrow Pencil– This could be a dupe contender for the Anastasia Brow Wiz! This ultra-micro waxy pencil has a spooly on one side and comes in six colors. After my first use, I think it’s a tiny bit softer than the ABW, but not absurdly soft. I’ll keep trying it! So far I’m a fan, and it’s about half the price of the ABW.
  4. Zoella Milky Way bath milk– I knew Zoella Beauty was sold in Target, but I had no idea you could buy it in CVS! I’ve seen that the bath milk is one of Zoella’s favorite products, so I’m really looking forward to using it. It is a peppermint vanilla scent, which tbh I wasn’t sold on, but I’ll have to report back to let you know what I think. Oddly enough it wasn’t on the website, you so may have to check your local store to see if they have it!
