Everyone has “holy grail” products, even if you haven’t ever thought about them that way. After using various beauty products for years and years, I’ve found myself going back to a few items time after time to repurchase. If I run out of these products, I feel a gap in my routine and need to pick up a replacement!
Hair
God, what did we ever do before dry shampoo? It has been a life saver for me, since my hair tends to get oily really fast. I’ve tried lots of dry shampoos, and the Batiste Dry Shampoo is the one I keep going back to. It smells great, and it works. I tend to use this on my roots right after I’ve styled my hair, or just before bed to ensure my second-day hair isn’t too greasy. My favorite scent is Refresh.
Facial Cleansers
I have been using the St. Ives Apricot Scrub since middle school (like 15 years ago omg) and I love it. My skin is oily, and can handle a good exfoliation every now and then. I love that this product uses natural ingredients to exfoliate instead of plastic microbeads.
One product that I haven’t been using for as long as the St. Ives is the Garnier Micellar water. However, after blasting through like four bottles of this, it has quickly found a spot on my repurchase list. I love how easy this is to use, and I love how well it removes my mascara. I’m trying out the mattifying version and I’ll let you know what I think!
Moisturizers
I know you’ve heard me ramble on and on about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, so I won’t go into to much detail. This has been my go-to nightly moisturizer for a while now, and I actually look forward to applying this during my nightly routine!
For my daytime moisturizer, I’m on my umpteenth bottle of the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. I do a lot of research before I invest in a product, and I read that this was good for those with oily skin. I find that it absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling moisturized but certainly not greasy.
As far as lips go, I have fallen 100% in love with the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. I picked some up a while ago after an unfortunate sunburn situation and haven’t looked back since. This is a thick, super hydrating product, that magically does not feel sticky on the lips. It can be used for lots of different things, but I put it on my lips every night before bed and wake up with silky smoochers in the morning!
Nails
I have a decent nail polish collection, and although there are colors that I wear more than others, there’s only one bottle I’ve repurchased. I always have a Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat on hand (ha!). Ain’t nobody got time to sit and wait for your nails to dry for like two hours, and this really speeds up the process. You can even apply it when your color isn’t completely dry yet. Love it.
Body
Through the years, I have tried so many different body washes, but the one I go back to time and time again is the Dove Purely Pampering body wash. It’s such a luxurious, lathery product, and it really locks in moisture. I also find that the scent lasts a lot longer than other, sometimes more expensive products. My favorite scent of all time is the pistachio magnolia scent, which wasn’t in stock last time I stopped by the store.
Another product that I love but don’t currently have in my favorite scent is the Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub. The sugar grains in this scrub are the perfect size- not too big and not too small. I love that the grit dissolves, and the shea butter and natural oils leave your skin so incredibly soft. My absolute favorite scent is the Almond and Honey.
Makeup
The Benefit Porefessional Primer was the first primer I ever tried, and I loved it from the start. After I finished my first bottle, I bought some different products just to see if I would like them as much. I didn’t, and now the Porefessional has a solid space in my batting rotation. This primer goes on so smoothly and is the most efficient primer I’ve used at controlling oil.
When I’m anticipating a stressful day, or just a day that I feel like looking my prettiest, I always reach for the Milani Luminoso Baked Blush. I love this so much. The apricot-y shade has just the perfect amount of shimmer to it, making your cheeks look like you are lit from within.
If I’m in a rush and don’t have too much time to spend on my eyeshadow, the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze is my go-to. This creamy product is super flattering, easy to apply, and lasts all day without creasing. I also use this as a base for a lot of more involved looks, too, especially when they are gold-based.
Finally, I can’t miss a chance to talk about the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I’ve tried powders, gels, and other pencils, but this is the one that my heart belongs to. The tip is super fine, which makes it easy to apply in a natural style, and I love that it comes with a little spooley on the end. I’ve lost track of how many of these I’ve bought, but I assure you there will be more!
Those are the products that I just can’t quit! What are some of your holy grail products?
