The other day, I was wandering around my local CVS picking up a few things for a Youtube video when I stumbled upon the Valentine’s Day display. Along with the plush teddy bears, heart-shaped lollipops, and cardboard boxes of chocolate, a pastel-colored display called my name. Even though I knew I shouldn’t, the urge was too strong. I had to buy that bag of candy conversation hearts.
Candy conversation hearts instantly spring to mind when I think of Valentine’s Day. Some people may call them the “candy corn of Valentine’s Day,” but I wholeheartedly disagree. Candy corn is foul; conversation hearts are wonderful. It’s fun to see which phrases you pull out (side note, the first one I looked at said “BFF”… totally friend-zoned), and see which new phrases pop up each year.
In honor of this classic Valentine’s Day candy, I decided on a conversation heart-inspired manicure. My nails deserve some lovin’ too! The colors I used were from Essie, Revlon, Sinful Colors, and Forever21, but you can use whichever polish tickles your fancy. To finish off, I used three dots of hot pink on my ring finger nail and connected them to form a heart.
